In the company of professor Jorge García (of the University of Girona, an expert in the work of Cervantes and author of the biography Cervantes, la figura en el tapiz), and the photographer José Manuel Navia, we will take a walk around some of the places in the city connected both with the figure of Miguel de Cervantes and Don Quixote. Although it is not possible to state with certainty that Cervantes was in Barcelona, the importance which he lends to this city in his work and, consequently, in his life, is undeniable. Throughout the walk, professor García will position us in the historical and biographical context of Cervantes while Navia the photographer will talk to us about how he has tried to see these places from the ever contemporary viewpoint of photography.

Some areas to consider: the sea (the beach and the port), the so-called house of Cervantes, the area round Santa María del Mar and the Cathedral, the calle del Call (former printing works of Comellas), the calle Montcada, the Plaza de Pi and its church, the callejón de Perot lo Lladre, the calle de Petritxol, the Maritime Museum, etc.

Activity included in the exhibition Miguel de Cervantes or the wish to live.
