Movistar 360 – BCN Virtual Reality Fest (BCN360VRFEST)

Movistar 360 - BCN Virtual Reality Fest is the first virtual reality film festival held in Spain and will award the quality of national and international VR short films.

The festival is structured around four areas: official section, special sessions, workshops and round tables.

In the both the official section and the special sessions, there will be a space dedicated to immersive experiences in which the spectators will be invited to form small groups in order to live the experience simultaneously. The workshops will be a space of learning and creation, where the atendees, guided by profesionals of the sector, will learn the basics of the VR technical functioning and how to apply it, being able to create their own content.

Finally, VR specialists and professionals will participate in roundtables to discuss together with the public the technical and economic implications of the emergence of this new language, its new uses, the problems that arouses in terms of cinematic narrative and its latest applications.

Virtual reality is leading the world of video games and apps. Now, the time has come to set a trend in Cinema.

The event is organized by Paramotion Films, organizer of 3D Wire, the most important professional market of animation, video games and new media that is celebrated in Spain and one of the most important at European level; and by the Mecal Association that organizes Mecal, the Barcelona International Short and Animation Film Festival.
