RESIDENT ARTISTS 2022/2023

The Gastronomy Guild works in collective research and action around food to debate and reflect on some of the cultural, social, political and ecological challenges facing contemporary society today, building a living interspecies community in the context of an art centre. We are committed to the cause of socialising, transforming and nourishing and eager to ferment, cook and eat together. 

Through different actions and encounters we intend to generate spaces around the kitchen and the ritual of shared food, proposing gastronomic experiences that are included in the everyday life of Santa Monica and that dialogue with the contents and processes proposed by the exhibition programme and its lines of research, while we ask ourselves how to integrate pots and microorganisms in this centre. 

We want to take advantage of the transformative potential of the processes around gastronomy as artistic creation and collective practice, integrating different sensorial and performative languages and weaving a network with the territory and the agents present around Santa Monica.
