Education Guild

The Education Guild is concerned with establishing, from a logic of research and experimentation, links with formal educational structures. Its practices act as a bridge between programming and educational audiences or communities, but also, inversely, they listen to the immediate environment, its potential and needs, in order to articulate the proposals developed and carry out new exchanges. Their practices are an input-output link. 

The Education Guild also sees Santa Mònica as an educational agent that acts in dialogue with the network of public facilities that sustain community life in Barcelona. Its activity crosses the entire functioning of the centre, contaminating it and listening to its context and the people who live there. From the different collective lines of research, the guild explores different ways of being within and in relation to the institution. 

Mapping the immediate context, the education guild has so far woven alliances with other educational and community spaces and institutions around Santa Mònica.
