Variaciones para voz / Conversaciones sumisas poses an exercise in voice and thought, replicable and expandable, in which a series of intimate conversations serve as a matrix for imagining a possible praxis of critical and public thought in which the attentional, semantic and postural stipulations of speech, talk or conference, and their demands of knowing how to be, are dispensed with.

Imagine in the place of knowledge a flow in which, that's it: one arrives at the burst in apparent verbal and visual crystallisations. Without coercion, they are already prostheses, and not fiction of permanence.

In "Con todos los ojos", to be heard between June and July, two voices listen to each other in an investigation to submit to each other's proposals for attention. The things they look at offer an opportunity for passive freedom.

"Pero las imágenes son polisémicas", which can be heard between July and August, presents a conversation around millenary images whose meaning never quite fills or closes. The triangulation between the symbolic, the visual and reasoning-in-direct poses an interpretative verbal infinity in the formal finitude of a stable image.

"Escogí esta coreografía para hacerla juntos", to be heard in September, invites us to enter into the observing experience of space from the survival of rhythms in bodies. The effect of the body on the thought-event in a time-space re-signifies both binary knowledge and its categorical counter-polarities. It imagines in the place of knowledge a flow in which, already, it is already: the crack is reached in apparent verbal and visual crystallisations. Without coercion, they are already prostheses, and not fiction of permanence.

Paula Pérez-Roda (Madrid, 1989) is a researcher, editor and artist. D. from Princeton University with a thesis on the transition from literature to the verbal arts in the Spanish state between 1909 and 1936, she has written essays and articles on the technologies, perceptions and interfaces of the literate orders and the verbal and performative arts in specialised and general publications, as well as different art books. He is/was part of the voice and sound selection collective tacoderaya, of the public thought project BOYA~célula and of the research seminar on languages and languages in the last days of the Euro Seminar Euraca. His work and conversations have taken place at Matadero Madrid, MNCARS, CA2M, Conde Duque, La Internationale, IVAM and several universities, among other spaces.
