Xesca Salvà
Obra
An active proposal for the figures that have occupied the display cases of our grandmothers and mothers to make room for new constructions of future bodies. What is our historical catalogue of bodies on the family shelves? Who are these people? These are questions that hover over the whole piece, both in the first phase of cataloguing and destruction and in a final revisiting of the fragments as archaeological remains, traces of a present-future.

Xesca Salvà (Llucmajor, Mallorca, 1978)
She combines her work as a stage designer for theatre with pieces of her own creation that move between installation and performance, inhabiting the limits. Since 2017 she has been working on the growth of the piece Cases (conceived within the framework of the IF Barcelona Festival), a multiple piece about intimacy, play and memory, which revolves around objects, sound, interactivity and documentary (http://projectecases.tumblr.com), or Understory, a project about life and the margins, currently in residence at the Teatro Libre and co-produced by the TNT Festival and the Theater Schaübude in Berlin.
