Anna Subirana & Agnès Balfegó / voice & body

Anna Subirana and Agnès Balfegó present a shared journey between voice and body, where the spontaneous and living experience of the instant is the driving force behind the action. There is no previously defined structure, but a work of immediate connection to enjoy a world where intuition, confidence and creation flow towards unknown places. A territory where the dialogue of movement and sound make their way towards a singular space/time.
The two artists met in the vocal and scenic improvisation group ‘Veus Lliures’. The joint meetings in this collective make them share a practice of research, creation and reflection, deep and constant in the face of improvisation.
On this occasion they jointly present this proposal in duo format.

Anna Subirana (Barcelona, 1958) is singer, improviser and creator. Curiosity, research with the voice and new languages has led her to collaborate with musicians, singers, dancers, plastic, film and audiovisual artists, theatre, puppeteers and poets, creating various shows, with awards such as the Serra d'Or 2000, Ràdio 4 and COPE, and various recordings, Efímera is the latest K7. She has been practising free improvisation since 1999. She is currently a member of the collective Veus Lliures, the trio BAULA and regularly improvises with musicians and dancers. She has sung in Spain, France, England, Italy, Germany, Austria and Brazil.
Agnès Balfegó Brull (Tarragona, 1992) is a dancer, creator and performer of various disciplines. She likes to conceive the stage as a revealing space of freedom and commitment. She has worked as a performer with artists such as Jesús Rubio Gamo, Sílvia Batet, Colectivo Lamajara, Laimperfecta and Poliana Lima. She also collaborates with the vocal ensemble Veus Lliures and has participated in improvisation cycles such as ‘Solo Improvisa’, ‘24’ at the Cuarta Pared and ‘Free Brull’. As an emerging creator, the solo ‘EIXOS’, awarded in several festivals, and ‘Brindis’ (winner of the MM&I at the Choreographic Contest of Madrid ‘24) stand out.
