Listening through the holes
Activity open to everyone and free of charge
The Santa Mònica is full of holes, and we want to hear what it feels like through them. At the Digitalisation Guild we suggest that you explore the exhibition Holey with headphones, looking for the fissures through which the sound of other spaces filters through and turns a visit to the exhibition into a speleological exploration.
All the sounds you will find have been recorded in spaces close to the Santa Mònica, through various tubes that act as filters, resonators and acoustic modulators and transform our perception of the exhibition space. Therefore, the sounds you will hear are not only sounds that can be heard through the voids, but are, to a large extent, the sound of the void itself.
For ten days you can ask for the audio guide system and headphones at the entrance to the Santa Mònica to accompany you on your visit.
