Transport and access
Come to the museum on foot, by bicycle or in public transport and make your visit more sustainable.
Bicycle: Bicing Stations 56, 57.. There are several anchor points on la Rambla, next to the entrance.

Centre parcialment accessible
The centre has a ramp and elevator for people with reduced mobility.
There are parking spaces for vehicles with a badge (not reserved) in the loading and unloading area.
We also have several accessibility resources.
Opening hours
Tuesday to Sunday and public holidays: 11:00 am – 8:30 pm.
Closed on Mondays, except public holidays.
Closed: 25 and 26 December, 1 and 6 January, Good Friday and 1 May. On 24 and 31 December: 11:00 am – 17:00 pm.

In the accessible toilets on floor 1.
- We provide a locker service in the lobby to store bags and clothes during the visit.
- No scooters or bicycles can be brought inside.
Santa Mònica has a lift and ramps connecting all floors and spaces.
Rest areas include folding chairs for both adults and children that you can use during your visit. You can take them freely in the participatory space located in the center’s lobby.
In the participatory space (0 floor) you will find several interactive installations and resources that invite you to reflect and actively participate in the debates that drive the centre’s lines of research.
It also includes a consultation space with bibliography related to the exhibitions.
The Sala Bar (1st floor) is a common space open from Tuesday to Friday from 11 am to 4 pm, and Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from 11 am to 8 pm, where you can relax if you need to take a break during your visit, connect or disconnect, read, meet and eat.
The Sala Bar gives access to the 188 m2 outdoor terrace, a place to be, to relax, to share a moment or to enjoy the views of the Rambla.
Access to the spaces during these times may be restricted at times depending on the needs of the centre.
In the Sala Bar you have vending machines with coffee, snacks and drinks.
In the Sala Bar and on the terrace, it is allowed to consume food and drinks while maintaining the cleanliness of the spaces.
The Sala Bar also hosts a regular programme of activities open to the public, and meetings, gatherings and trainings of the resident artistic community. The organization’s instructions must be respected.
The Sala Bar and the terrace of the Santa Mònica offer themselves as a climatic refuge during the hottest months of the year. In addition, the terrace hosts every year an artistic installation that transforms it into a more shaded and comfortable space in the face of the climate emergency.
All spaces offer free internet access through the “visites_gencat” network.
In the Sala Bar (1st floor) and in the participatory space (0 floor) you will find free charging points.
We have a defibrillator on the stairs landing.
